New Year, New Month. Health and Wellness Trends.

Happy New Year🎉! I am so thrilled to be connecting with you all again in this new year. January always feels like a fresh start, a clean slate, and a time to set our intentions. I want to kick things off by discussing some of the beauty and wellness trends I'm excited about in 2024. There's so much to cover, so let's dive in! 


✨Beauty Trends to Try 

In the world of beauty, glowing, radiant skin is the ultimate goal in 2023. Products that give your complexion a dewy, hydrated, lit-from-within look will be everywhere this year. Here are some trends I'll be trying:


  • Facial Oils: Oils deliver such deep nourishment and give skin the most gorgeous sheen. I'll apply a few drops before moisturizing morning and night. Rosehip, jojoba, and marula oils are nourishing options. 

  • Vitamin C Serums: Serums packed with vitamin C brighten dull skin and reduce signs of aging. They're the perfect quick skin refresh before makeup application. I'm excited to try some new vitamin C products this year.

  • Hyaluronic Acid: This hydrating ingredient plumps skin and gives it a bounce and moisture. Look for moisturizers, essences, and serums enriched with hyaluronic acid to quench thirsty skin. 

  • Natural-looking Makeup: Foundation and complexion products are moving away from full-coverage matte finishes, and toward sheer, dewy coverage that lets your natural skin shine through. I'll be playing with tinted moisturizers, cream blush and bronzer, and glossy skin tints for a fresh-faced glow.

  • Fruit acids and exfoliants: Gentle exfoliation is key for revealing radiant, smooth skin. Products with alpha hydroxy acids like lactic acid and glycolic acid as well as beta hydroxy acids lift away dull cells. I'll be using exfoliating toners and serums once or twice a week.


My beauty motto for the year is "glow from within". Drinking plenty of water, eating nutrient-rich foods, reducing stress, and getting enough sleep will create that lit-from-within radiance. I can't wait to put these trends to the test!

💚Wellness Goals for the New Year 

With the indulgences of the holidays behind us, January is the perfect time to focus on wellness, detoxification, and forming healthy habits.


Here are some of my goals for the new year:

  • Drink more water: Starting my day with a big glass of water helps flush out toxins and hydrate my body. I aim to drink at least 64oz of water every day. Adding lemon🍋, mint🌱, or cucumber makes it more enticing.

  • Reduce sugar: After overindulging in sweets for the past few months, I'm ready to reduce added sugar and feel less sluggish. I'll be sticking to whole foods and limiting sugary treats, soda, and processed carbs. 

  • Make exercise a daily habit: Whether I'm taking yoga classes, hitting the gym, or just going for a brisk walk around my neighborhood, I want to move a non-negotiable part of my daily routine. Starting small is key - even 10 minutes a day makes a difference. 

  • Practice self-care: Carving out time for myself helps me decompress. Reading, writing in my journal, meditating, enjoying guilt-free Netflix binges, and turning my phone off for chunks of time all help me destress. Bubble baths, face masks, and aromatherapy candles also do the trick! 

  • Meal prep: Sunday meal prep sessions are essential for healthy eating all week. I'll cook up proteins, grains, and lots of fresh veggies so I have grab-and-go healthy meals ready to fuel me through busy work days. 

  • Focus on sleep: Getting 7-9 hours of sleep gives me energy, improves my mood, and helps me make healthier choices. I'll be limiting late-night Netflix, putting away devices, and creating a restful sleep environment.  


This time of renewal inspires me to treat my mind, body, and spirit with extra kindness. I hope these tips help you feel healthy and energized as you head into the new year! Let's make 2024 our best, most balanced year yet.
